2018-2019 CLBB Regular Season (3rd-6th Grade Boys)

 GENERAL INFORMATION:

The 2018-2019 Clear Lake Boys Basketball Season is here! The CLBB Board wants to thank all returning players and welcome new players to the league. Season registration will open on October 1, 2018.  The registration fee for our Junior and Major Divisions (playing ages 9 – 12) for the 2018-2019 season is $225.00 and includes a jersey. Player registration for our Junior and Major Divisions will close Wednesday, October 31st. Returning players must be registered by 10/31 and pay prior to coaches evaluations to guarantee their returning player status for the current season. Our youngest playing division is our Junior 9’s and is for players who will be 9 years old as of 7/31/2019 – normally 3rd graders - and our eligibility requirements are that boys are zoned to either attend or eventually attend Clear Lake, Seabrook, Space Center, or Westbrook Intermediate schools. We accept new players into the league as space is available, but playing in the league is not guaranteed and is based on a player’s skill level and the number of available spots in each division. The evaluations and draft will take place prior to the Thanksgiving break. Practices will start in December and games in January after the winter break.

NEW PLAYER INFORMATION:

Players who have never played CLBB must first attend a New Player Tryout. New Player tryouts for our Junior and Major divisions will be held in early November. Check back for dates and times.

RETURNING PLAYER INFORMATION:

The Junior/Major Divisions coaches will have draft evaluations for returning players who have registered by the deadline and new players to the league in early November. Check back for dates and times.

Clear Lake Boys Basketball, CLBB, is a volunteer run 501(C)(3) non profit corporation organized to promote a competitive basketball league for boys in 3rd to 12th grade from the Clear Lake and surrounding communities.

CLBB Volunteers

!!! Volunteers !!!

Our goal is for everyone to have a positive experience playing CLBB. Please let us know if you have any ideas to improve CLBB. All input will be appreciated and considered. Even better, donate your time and VOLUNTEER! From Board members to coaches and timekeepers, CLBB has thrived on the strength of its volunteers. We have had wonderful support from the community for over 30 years and would like to continue this tradition with your help. For more information, click Volunteer under the Home tab on the navigation bar or email cllbpres2010@gmail.com.

CLBB Scorekeepers

CLBB is hiring high school young men and women to help with keeping score at CLBB games for the younger age groups (3rd-6th Grade). This is a fun way to earn money and help your community. Scorekeepers are responsible for working the scorebook, not the clock. The pay starts at $8.00/per game worked.

The following criteria must be met to be eligible:
1. High school student who would be zoned to attend Space Center, Clear Lake, Seabrook or Westbrook Intermediate school.
2. Available on Saturdays and some weeknights.
3. Attend a meeting/training session.

There are limited Scorekeeper positions available. To submit an application online or to print, scan and email an application, click on Scorekeepers under the Home tab on the navigation bar.

Please contact Marla Schmidt at tomgschmidt@comcast.net if you have any questions.

2019 CLBB Second Season (7th-12th Grade Boys)

CLBB Second Season basketball is primarily for 7th through 12th Graders. Many of the players currently play or have played school team basketball and will be or are attending Clear Lake, Clear Brook HS, or Clear Falls High Schools. Players who attend other CCISD high schools are eligible based on aviailability. Non-school players are also eligible and encouraged to register and will be considered for placement. This is a post-season league designed for all games, and no practices. Tryouts are in March after Spring Break. The regular season runs from early April to mid-May and games are played Monday through Saturday from 6pm to 10pm. After the regular season, all teams will play in a post season tournament with awards going to the winning and runner-up teams.

!!!THIS WILL BE THE MOST FUN YOU WILL HAVE PLAYING BASKETBALL THIS YEAR!!!  Check back in March 2019 for dates and times.

Cost of the season is $100.00. Players must play in a black/white CLBB jersey and the cost of a Black/White CLBB jersey is $20.00 and can be purchased in person.
